Who We Are

The Backbone of MSME
Development in Thoothukudi

Established on 15th November 1991 under the leadership of Founder President Mr. K. Kathiresan and Founder Secretary Mr. P. Chinnadurai, THUDITSSIA was created to serve and uplift micro and small enterprises across Thoothukudi district.

Since inception, THUDITSSIA has actively assisted entrepreneurs in availing government schemes like PMEGP, PMRY, NEEDS, and UYEGP, and has been a vital bridge between aspiring entrepreneurs and institutional support systems.

We represent our members in government committees, advocate for industry-friendly policies, and provide hands-on support in marketing access, credit facilitation, and modern technology adoption.

Key Milestones

1999Purchased office land in Thoothukudi — a foundation for self-reliance and MSME support.

2005Organised the first THUDITSSIA Industrial Exhibition (TIE) — one of the district's largest industry platforms.

2012Constructed own office building, now serving as the permanent headquarters.

2017Signed MoU with EDII Tamil Nadu to conduct entrepreneurship training and seminars.

What We Do

How We Support Our Members

Marketing Support

We help members expand market reach through exhibitions like TIE (THUDITSSIA Industrial Exhibition), networking events, and business promotion programs across the district and state under the "Made in Thoothukudi" banner.

Government Scheme Guidance

We guide members and new entrepreneurs in accessing government subsidy schemes like PMEGP, NEEDS, UYEGP, AABCS, TWEES and securing support from TIIC, SIDCO, and DIC — helping them establish and grow their enterprises.

Technology Support

We guide MSMEs in adopting modern tools and digital systems through workshops, webinars, and training programs to improve productivity and digital literacy among small industry owners.
